FAMCO’s Code of Conduct outlines company’s ethical and compliance standards for conducting business throughout the world and serves as a guide when facing dilemmas where the right choice is not clear. Our Code is grounded in our seven Guiding Principles, which are ingrained in our culture as follow:
1- Obeying the law
Obeying the law is the foundation on which our reputation and Guiding Principles are built. As a global organization privileged to do business all over the world, we have the responsibility to comply with all of the laws that apply to our businesses.
2- Conducting our business with integrity
We conduct our operations with honesty and integrity, and with respect to the human rights and interests of our business parties. We shall similarly respect the legitimate interests of those with whom we have relationships.
3- Exceeding client’s expectations
We are committed to helping our clients achieve their goals by providing commercially focused legal advice of the highest quality that will consistently exceed their expectations.
4- Honoring our business obligations
All our business relationships are based on mutual trust. We build and maintain the trust and confidence of our customers and other business partners by communicating honestly, respecting information entrusted to us and standing behind our commitments.
5- Keeping accurate and honest records
Accurate and honest records are critical for the business decisions to make sound. Our business records/information, in whatever form, must reflect the true nature of our transactions.
6- Thinking ahead
To be at the forefront of the legal profession requires foresight, a desire to share ideas and a willingness to have a voice on issues of importance. We have the confidence to challenge existing thinking and to push boundaries.
7- Considering the environment
We are always committed to making continuous improvements in the management of our environmental impact and to the longer-term goal of developing a sustainable business. Unilever will work in partnership with others to promote environmental care, increase understanding of environmental issues and disseminate good practice.
